Here are just three things to remember when choosing your carpet
- Room function and traffic – consider who’s using the room and for what. Using a durable darker colour for high traffic areas may save you lots of time cleaning and getting out stains in the future. If you have the next sporting superstar living in your home, you’re well used to clearing up stains and other debris that comes from pitches or tracks or golf courses.
- Light and shades – lightly coloured carpets usually make a room seem bigger with darker shades giving your room a more intimate feel. Bring home samples from our shop and see how they light up your room.Choosing the right carpet for your formal or ‘good’ room is a much nicer job as you get to concentrate on colours, pile and other luxury decisions.
- Co-ordination – this depends a lot on what age your home is at. An established family home with favoured furniture and a real colour scheme is place is a lot different to a blank canvas. Sit down and take notes of existing schemes or even better bring in a photo of your room and we’ll go through your options with you.
